Welcome To The 'Older Days' of Cemetery Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, where you can meet all the neighbours. Please submit to us any additions or changes you may have, amusing anecdotes, and rememberances.

On 20 April 1949...Kevin Brenden O'Hara was born on Cemetery Rd to Mum Lella and Dad Jimmy! He was joined on the street by his older siblings Michael (Mickey), Mary, Jimmy and later Dermot. The O'Hara family moved into the neighbourhood in 1944 and lived there until moving to America in 1953. Dad worked at the Power Company and they attended St Mary's School and St Pancras Church. Kevin, an Author, later wrote "Last of the Donkey Pilgrims" and his newest published February 10th, 2010, "A Lucky Irish Lad". We have been in touch with Kevin trying to find out the address on Cemetery Rd where he was born? If anyone remembers this Irish family, feel free to offer any information to us. We are also looking for any Kelly's Directories, any years, and copies of the Cemetery Rd entries from them (Digital Photos will also do).
